What could a slave, a revolutionary, a daughter of high society, a TV personality, a champion of the poor, a social activist , a Bohemian, an Italian immigrant, a French missionary, a child of one of America’s greatest novelists, an archbishop and a Vietnam marine possibly have in common?

Well, I can tell you in less than a New York minute. They’re all Catholics, each have left an indelible mark on New York City and they are all universally considered the saintliest of people. In fact, 4 of the twelve have attained sainthood, while the remaining 8 are either Beatified, Venerable, or known as “Servants of God,” as their cause for canonization progresses through the arduous process. New York has always been a wonderful mosaic of doer, dreamers, and innovators. It's our history. It's who we are. This walking tour will have you strolling-in-the-steps-of-saints.

Bookmark this site. I'll be adding new episodes, each of which will introduce you to one of these saintly New Yorkers. And I'll be updating the VERY cool map you can interact with, when you click "Satellite view of your tour," under my photo.
